About
@codyo was born and raised in San Francisco, and now live down the peninsula in San Mateo central to both San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
My first experiences with Flash were in the Multimedia program at the College of San Mateo when he was earning my degree in Multimedia [1998-2000].
I have a long history of doing rock solid work and development for small to mid size companies all over the Bay Area in a variety of mediums. If you are looking for a web developer with a good head on his shoulders that can help you find the best solution for any given problem, then I’m your man.
Flash Development
I have worked with professionally Flash since 1999 (Flash Version 3). I have extensive knowledge of legacy ActionScript 1 & 2, along with practical working knowledge of ActionScript 3.
Devices
I have hands on experience developing flash for mobile devices such as the Pocket PC, the Leapfrog Leapster, and some experience with Nokia Handsets.
I have developed museum tours for the Pocket PC which you can find in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the exhibition “The Science of Star Wars” for the Boston Museum of Science. I also made significant performance improvements for the tour at the Intel Museum in San Jose.
Following my work at Antenna Audio, I worked on a team at Orange Design developing titles such as “Animal Genius“, “Clifford the Big Red Dog“, and “Pet Pals” for the Leapfrog Leapster. I developed efficient functions to manage random exhaustive problem sets on a very limited processor, which are still in use today.
Video
Having worked with video in Flash before it was even officially supported, I have extensive experience in creating custom video players as well as optimizing video for any given experience.
Team Lead
At my last 2 positions I have managed project development and Flash developers to keep projects on schedule and feature complete.
In my position at Eveo I trained artists and animators to use tweening packages and write basic interactive functionality to speed our development time, and distribute our workload.
At Mixercast most of our projects had a very abbreviated production schedule, and often times we would have 2 or 3 projects going on at once. I stepped in regularly to make sure we met our schedules and deliver-ables, as well as making new additions configurable and skinnable for the next project. I also took care of most of the integration issues between the Flash projects and the back end team.
