Developer / Programmer

[2009 - 2011] Context Optional
I worked at Context Optional through a period of phenomenal growth and finally and acquisition. There were 18 employees when I started, and over 90 (300 if you count the parent company Efficient Frontier) when I left. I made visualizations, games, and applications in flash for client projects on the Facebook Platform.

[2008 - 2009] Mixercast
Mixercast was a startup that made contest and entertainment widgets for larger companies that got posted to social media sites. (The company is now defunct).

[2006 - 2008] Eveo
Eveo made robust multimedia sales tools for Pharmaceutical Companies.

[2005 - 2006] Orange Design
Orange Design contracted exclusively with Scholastic and Leapfrog to make educational games for the Leapster game system, primarily for 4 to 8 year old kids. I created many games for the titles Animal Genius, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and Pet Pals.

[2004 - 2005] Antenna Audio
Antenna Audio is one of the largest audio tour companies for museums in the world. I made flash based museum tours on various Pocket PC’s, two of the most notable were for the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and the Boston Museum of Science exhibit ‘The Science of Star Wars’.

[2003 - 2004] Managestar
Managestar (a now defunct web 1.0 company) made web based enterprise level sofware which would allow companies too update databases through a web interface.

[2000 - 2003] Contracting
While teaching as many classes as I could at the College of San Mateo part time, I worked on various contracts for companies such as: Borland, Cisco, Volera, and Group 365.

[2000 - 2009] College of San Mateo
After leaving my full time position at Learn iT! and receiving my degree in multimedia from CSM, the director of the program extended me the opportunity to teach part time for the college. I still teach periodically at the college.

[1999 - 2003] Learn iT!
This was my first real job in the tech sector. While I was still taking classes, I started here in an entry level position and quickly trained to become a full time instructor.

Education

[1998 - 2000] College of San Mateo
In the summer of 1998 I took an introductory to multimedia courses the college was offering in a test run for a new program they were planning to start the following semester. I was hooked and was the first graduate from their program.
