Managestar [2003-2004]

Initially hired to develop their company website, I transitioned into development for their web based application for asset management (a pre-Web 2.0 application). Also worked on various demos and SDK’s.

In the first 6 weeks I was at ManageStar I completely overhauled their website project that had been in development over the previous year. They had  decided to have their website look and feel like the windows operating system, however the code they developed couln’t scale well and could not centrally communicate with other assets in the same environment. I stripped out all of their Flash 4 code and re-wrote the same project in a way  that would scale in just a few weeks. I then added other enhancements and  interface elements that were configurable through XML.

After finishing the website project I transitioned over to the design team where I developed functional HTML mockups of new user interfaces that were in development, which would get handed over to the PHP and JavaScript guys to implement. I contributed extensively to their design and usability.
